2017 BMW X3
The 2017 BMW X3 was one of the first SUVs on the road and the 2017 model of the X3 is still quite impressive. It has a powerful 5.2 liter motor with twin power turbo diesel or gas engines. BMW have incorporated this powerful engine with advanced energy management technologies to save on fuel consumption and reduce emissions.
The exterior of the X3 looks quite robust and you’ll have a few colors to choose from including mineral white and deep sea blue. For the interior you’ll be able to select pearl gloss chrome or a number of wood designs.
The 2017 BMW X3 comes with adaptive headlights to make driving as safe as possible during the night. It features anti-dazzle high beam assistance, corning lights and headlights with variable light control.
The 2017 BMW X3 has been redesigned to appear sportier and more stylish. This years model will be the third generation of the X3 and uses carbon fiber materials to cut weight and improve performance. The overall size will be about the same but there’s more rear seat room and the car will be about 200 lbs lighter.
There are a few interesting features about the 2017 X3 such as the automatic stop/start function that only keeps the car running when you’re moving forwards. If you stop at the lights, the car will turn off. Brake Energy Regeneration is also used to turn the kinetic energy of braking back into electricity that charges the car battery. All of this means less fuel is used and you’ll get better performance.
The 2017 X3 has a starting weight of 3,990 lbs with a carrying capacity of 1,300 lbs. It lowest trim has a top speed of 130 mph and reaches 0-60 mph in just over 8 seconds. The top trim has a 6 cylinder engine with a top speed of 144 mph and can reach 0-60 in 5.9 seconds.
The 2017 BMW X3 has enough room for 5 passengers to travel in luxury. It comes with dual zone climate control and cruise control as standard on all trims. You’ll also get power front seats with split folding rear seats a nine speaker sound system, CD player and USB port.
An optional technology package will include a head-up display and navigatoin system with a large screen. The higher trims come with a panoramic sunroof, satellite radio, keyless entry and a 16 speaker audio system.
If you’re keen on the sporty look you can upgrade to the M Sport Package for sporty interior seats, 19-inch wheels and a sporty interior trim.
Price for the 2017 BMW X3 starts at $38,950 for the gas engine and $42,450 for the diesel. You’ll pay an extra $2,000 for the all wheel drive. Both the rear wheel and all wheel drive get 21/28 mpg. The M Sport package will also cost an additional $2,600.
