The 2017 Buick LaCrosse is a large luxury car that scores very well on luxury and performance. It comes in 4 trims and all of them use a 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 310 horsepower.

The LaCrosse is a good option if you’re looking for a large luxury car. It comes with a roomy and elegant cabin that seats 5 people. It has excellent fuel economy and either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The ride is comfortable and quite and considering its size, feels quite agile on the road.

The Buick LaCrosse has been completely redesigned for this model year. While it does have many great features some of them are only available on the top trims.

Performance

The 2017 Buick LaCrosse is powerful on the road and comes equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 310 horsepower. It’s one of the most powerful engines in the large luxury car class and is connected with an 8-speed automatic transmission. You have the option of using the paddle shifters for a manual transmission if you like changing gears yourself.

The LaCrosse employs two systems to help with fuel economy. The first is the active fuel management which disables some of the vehicles cylinders when they are not in use. The second is the stop/start system which shuts down the engine when the vehicle is at a stop. Both of these combine to give the LaCrosse a fuel rating of 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.

“Helping things further is a powerful V6 engine paired to a crisp-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission and a relatively imperceptible automatic stop-start system (so imperceptible, Buick controversially decided to not include an Off button)” – Edmunds.

The LaCrosse delivers on comfort and is a great ride for long distance travelling. While it’s not a sports car it still has plenty of power. It feels stable around corners without too much body lean. You can upgrade to the optional adaptive suspension which has normal and sports mode. The sports mode will stiffen up the suspension, reducing ride quality but improving performance.
