The 2017 Subaru Forester is a crossover SUV with all-wheel drive as standard on all 6 models. It comes with a choice of two engines. The first 4 trims use the 2.5 liter Subaru Boxer 4-cylinder engine that makes 170 horsepower and gets 26 mpg in the city and 32 on the highway. The top 2 trims use the more powerful 2.0 liter turbocharged Subaru Boxer that makes 250 horsepower and has slightly reduced fuel economy.
