The quarrel continues between Uber and the California Department of Motor Vehicles who have removed the registrations of Uber’s test vehicles, forcing Uber to take those vehicles off the road.

The DMV made good on their word and have followed up with the company. They sesnt a letter to Uber on Wednesday saying that the registration of those vehicles had been revoked and invited Uber to apply for a testing permit.

The DMV said in a statement “”It was determined that the registrations were improperly issued for these vehicles because they were not properly marked as test vehicles.”

Uber have taken their vehicles off San Francisco roads and are at present not conducting tests in California. They say they are currently looking for other locations for their autonomous vehicle pilot program.

San Francisco Business Times have reported that Uber will meet with the DMV on Wednesday afternoon. It’s expected they will discuss the viability of Uber’s pilot program in San Francisco.
